Recap of @troyjackson207’s visit to our Saco campus…

Thank you to former Senate President and current gubernatorial candidate @troyjackson207 for visiting our Saco campus. He walked through our experiential learning programs at our special-purpose K-12 school, spoke to our staff at our adult PNMI program, and toured the site of what will hopefully be Maine’s only psychiatric residential treatment facility, in addition to our roundtable discussion about legislative priorities. We appreciate Troy’s interest in supporting improvements to Maine’s behavioral health system.
Note: Sweetser does not endorse political candidates and frequently hosts political and governmental leaders to tour our programs and learn about our mental health mission.

We appreciate State Auditor and congressional candidate @mattforcongress for visiting one of Sweetser’s Hope & Healing Centers. He toured our walk-in clinic, met with mental health experts, and heard about the opportunities and challenges around strengthening the behavioral health system. His stories that referenced his own interactions with those in need of services were meaningful to our team.

We were pleased to welcome @nirav_maine to Sweetser’s Saco campus. We held a roundtable discussion about legislative priorities, he met with our staff (and our farm animals) at our special-purpose K-12 school, and he toured the site of what will hopefully be Maine’s first psychiatric residential treatment facility. We appreciate Dr. Shah’s interest in supporting improvements to Maine’s behavioral health system.
