At our Spring Into Hope Fashion Show, we presented the Fashion Icon of Inspiration Award to an extraordinary woman whose courage, vision, and relentless advocacy who has sparked a movement of hope: Suzanne Fox of @theyellowtulipproject. 💛
Born from personal loss and a deep desire to …create change, The Yellow Tulip Project has grown into a nationally recognized youth-driven organization dedicated to smashing the stigma surrounding mental illness and reminding individuals everywhere that hope happens. Suzanne, a longtime educator and intercultural consultant, joined her daughter Julia in co-founding YTP, bringing a global perspective and decades of experience to their shared mission. Together, they have cultivated a community rooted in inclusion, storytelling, and healing—empowering young people to speak out, seek help, and support one another. Their work has touched countless lives across Maine, the nation, and soon the world, as Suzanne prepares to expand YTP’s reach internationally.
Through art, advocacy, and action, Suzanne embodies the very spirit of this award—bold, compassionate, and deeply committed to transforming the way we talk about and experience mental health. Please join us in celebrating Suzanne Fox as this year’s Fashion Icon of Inspiration—for showing us that even in the darkest moments, there is always light, and there is always hope.
