Susan Figueiredo, LMHC, LADC1, holds a MA in Clinical Psychology, from the University of Mass Dartmouth May 2005 and BA in Psychology, Minor Women’s Studies-University of NH, Plymouth.
She is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, MA since 2006.
Experience in Alcohol and Drug Treatment started in 1997 with the Fall River-based nonprofit working with 1st offender groups and mandated batter intervention groups.
Worked for 4 years with the Department of Children and Families, first in a community-based program geared to services adolescents involved with DCF and then directly for the Department as a social worker. She then began working more closely with the opiate-dependent population, first as a clinician, then supervisor and Clinical Director. After which she entered an executive management role as Regional Director of Operations.
Currently she holds a position of Chief Operating Officer for Behavioral Healthcare Organization and recently opened her own private practice.
While maintaining this full time career, she has had periods of time working in Emergency Room Department and Community Crisis Center…All with the focus on identifying the needs of those with addictive disorders and educating those around her on how to best support these individuals.
