QPR Gatekeeper Training: Suicide Prevention & Intervention

QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Gatekeeper Training is a focused skills-based training for recognizing if someone is at risk of suicide, learning how to intervene, and knowing how to connect them to appropriate mental health resources.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to recognize early and developing warning signs of suicide in others
  • How to intervene using the Question, Persuade, Refer method
  • Methods to connect someone in need to appropriate mental health resources
  • Information on mental health resources, services, and other supports across Maine

QPR Gatekeeper Training is designed for a general adult audience and developed by the QPR Institute, taught by certified QPR Instructors from Sweetser.

About QPR Gatekeeper Training:

  • 1.5 to 2 hours total
  • For groups of 5 to 30 participants per training
  • Available in-person at your facility or virtually via Zoom/Webex/Teams.
